This plant lives in a south facing window and dries out significantly between watering. It's a very tough, beginner friendly plant, great for those hot, south-facing windows.

When exposed to strong sunlight, the leaves can turn a delicate pink. 🌞 This phenomenon, known as sunstressing, typically turns green leaves red; however, in the variegated areas, it turns them pink due to reduced chlorophyll.

#hoyalao1 is blooming for the first time! Another 2 peduncles are on the way! 😍

It smells quite strong, especially in the evenings. It has quite a sharp smell that reminds me of a mixture of freshly cut grass and a slightly floral smell similar to lilacs. 🌱🌸
